Description

I identify with the world around me through situational involvement as opposed to being a spectator. I am very involved with my community which can be seen on our website www.theshovelmen.org. I am a fluent German speaker as I am the son of two German immigrants. I think that to get a real immersed experience in the German life which I only get to visit could be achieved through this program. In my hometown, I have been instrumental in establishing a Christmas Market, which has grown tremendously over the past 10 years. If I could build connections to help continue this growth through better booths and more food ideas, that interests me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a degreed Mechanical Engineer, earning my bachelors degree in 1984. I have led a professional life, generally working in the construction management industry. I have built five homes from scratch, living in the most difficult of the five, a light house fashioned after the East Brother Light Station near San Francisco. I built my first home at age 19 while entrusted alone during my college summers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin USA. I am part of a community volunteer group known as The Shovelmen which have constructed seven significant bridges in the community I live in. I am an accomplished builder and leader. I am a solution provider that will not allow simple obstacles to prevent advancement to the goal.

I prefer activity and celebrating the days accomplishments. Sedentary activities such as cards and board games are not my go-to interest areas. Dreaming and creating solutions that involve project work are my most favorite activities. Engaging others in my vision for the future is my most endearing reward.
