Hey!
I am a young adult working as a manager in the outdoor education industry. Originally from Ireland, I left after obtaining a B.Sc. I now live most of the year in the United Arab Emirates. Outdoor education is a seasonal industry so I have some time during the summer to travel.
Meaningful experiences with people are what bring me joy and thats why I work in the outdoors and truly love my job.
When I am not doing that, I love adventure. From kayaking and surfing to rock climbing and hiking. I'm not a pure adrenaline junkie or social beast though, you can often find me up before the sun, reading a book in a corner or sitting and watching the sunrise. Moments of reflection, allow me to really see the amazing things that we do through our lives. I'm not a huge party person because of this! I hope you don't mind but I rather a good chat around a fire with a few drinks than a nightclub.
I love nature through and true and thats part of the reason I want to travel. I love to look at a view but I also enjoy looking closer at the tiny beings that make biodiversity on this wonderful planet possible. I hope to learn some cool spots wherever I am and learn about the wildlife, history and culture of the place too.
I'm new to workaway and haven't done one before. I believe in helping people and working together for a good cause, whether thats helping a local community or a self sustaining farmer, I'm game.

I love languages! I have some basic of a few languages and have started trying to teach myself Arabic. I am a native english speaker and would be able to help anybody on their journey with english language. I would like to learn some of the local language where I am and try to communicate with locals with it by the end of my stay.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My skills range, I have had many jobs but mainly in the outdoor industry where all skills are used.
From managing people and programs that we deliver, providing safety support for high profile events, taking people on expeditions, working as a barista and chef, front of house and helping them overcome their fears to strimming the hedges and spraying the farm with fertiliser and pesticides (not my favorite).
I am quite good with technology having developed websites in the past and don't mind working away at a computer for a few hours a day.
I'm quite a quick learner and really, with your help, theres not much i won't be able to do (or at least try). Through working with many international groups and going to boarding school, I am reasonably good at communicating and teaching languages, I have no formal training but I don't think that should hold anybody back at the start!

What else is there to say?
I love a good board game with the right people and also love to go to museums and anywhere I can learn, historic sites, ruins etc to see what things may have once been.
