Hello! I am Sara. I was using my friend Adriana's Workaway account for a few days because she didn't need it anymore - but I realized I couldn't change the name on her account so here is my new one!
I am a Colombian-American dual national looking to be a digital nomad for the next six months. I graduated from university in May and since then have been to Italy, France, Ireland, and now Colombia. I have a full-time job in the U.S., but I am very fortunate to be able to do it from anywhere (within a reasonable time difference of course). I speak Spanish and would like to add a third language. I have about 4 years of caregiving experience - with children and animals. Babysitting and Petsitting was how I made extra money for myself throughout college. I would like to be with people who can introduce me to a new language and way of life. While I have to make time for my job in the day, I would be happy to lend help as a petsitter, or do garden work and other home projects. Working with animals, kids, and doing farm work is the most rewarding work I have done in my life, and I would love to bring that passion to a new country that can help me grow as a person.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My major at the University of Virginia was in Global Environments and Sustainability. I also got a degree in Urban and Environmental Planning. I believe in innovative but practical solutions to the complex problems which businesses, communities, and natural environments encounter in the face of climate change. I have great communication skills, a strong work ethic, and hands-on experience in sustainable farming and business practices, retail, and operations.

I have worked with children and animals for many years. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I am a very patient person, and I believe there is always something to learn from meeting a new person. Taking care of kids is so rewarding and it is fascinating to be around them - they make me laugh so much and I feel like a kid again!

Pet sitting is great stress reliever for me. I have always been an animal-lover. I grew up with two dogs and two cats so whenever I am surrounded by animals, I feel at home. I am a super reliable person to follow instructions for how to take of your pets.

As for my hobbies, I love doing anything outdoors. I love to read, go hiking, running, playing golf, badminton, futbol, or just laying in the sun! When I am indoors, I love to cook, watch movies, or play card games with my friends.

I really want to experience a lifestyle different from the one I lead in the U.S. Don't get me wrong, I love the United States. But it is difficult to immerse yourself into one country's culture there because there is a mix of so many. I am very active and am always looking for new ways to get outside, burn some energy, and learn new things! It is important to me that I have free time to dedicate to my health and exploration each day. I love to go running and do exercise in the mornings, and I would also like to explore the local area every day. Ideally, the family or person I live with would help me learn about the local area and teach me about its culture. I love people. I am very outgoing and excited to connect with new friends across the world.
