hi! my name is Salma, and I am a professional dancer. i studied dance performance and philosophy in university, and spend most of my free time on creative projects or diving into a good book. i live in new york city but love to be immersed in nature, so i’m hoping i can use my time volunteering to ground myself back into the natural world. i am independent, self motivated, and enjoy time alone. i also really enjoy spending quality time with people who are different than myself and can maybe teach me something new!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

+ i speak english, spanish, and a bit of portuguese— currently trying to learn french :)
+ as a dancer and artist, i love a good creative project!
+ with colombian and portuguese parents, i’ve inherited some keen culinary sensibilities... i would love to cook for/with you!
+ i have experience with power tools and have done some basic projects around my childhood home + NYC apartment— I definitely want to expand on my carpentry skills.
+ i have some light experience with gardening that i would also want to expand upon.
+ i don’t have experience caring for livestock, but it is something that interests me and that i would be willing to learn more about.
+ i can drive automatic and would love to learn to drive manual if there is an opportunity to be taught!

i consider myself generally very open minded and up for a task, no matter how challenging. with some patience and grace from a good teacher, I am willing to try any projects you have in mind!

i love card games, hikes&swims, existential philosophy , and long bike rides. i get my energy from being alone so i really value time spent with my own company, but also very much enjoy sharing quality time getting to know other people :)
