Hi! My name is Ryan, I’ve recently arrived in New Zealand and am really excited to explore the South Island towards the end of this month. I’ve spent much of my life outdoors, and I love working with my hands and learning new skills.

I’m open to all kinds of experiences and happy to help out with anything from mechanical work and general maintenance to outdoor projects and hospitality. I’d love to learn new trades, meet interesting people, and contribute wherever I can. I am a hard worker and am not afraid of messy or strenuous tasks.

Looking forward to connecting and seeing where this journey takes me!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Mechanical & Technical Skills
I have hands-on experience repairing engines, working around aircraft, and troubleshooting mechanical systems. Most recently I've worked as a sandblasting technician, handling industrial equipment and surface restoration. I enjoy working with tools, solving mechanical problems, and learning new repair techniques.

Lifeguarding
I worked as a lifeguard for 2 years, with experience supervising swimmers of all ages. Ensuring safety in the water, providing first aid, and maintaining a calm and reassuring presence were key parts of my job. I’m comfortable teaching water safety, assisting beginner swimmers, and handling emergency situations. I am scuba open water certified, and my lifeguard/ first aid certifications are still active as of May 2025.

Outdoor & Adventure Experience
I’ve spent much of my life in the outdoors, engaging in activities like backpacking, surfing, scuba diving, and snowboarding. I’m comfortable in rugged environments and have strong problem-solving skills when it comes to adapting to new challenges in outdoor settings.

General Maintenance & Hands-on Work
I’m not new to physical work and have experience with general maintenance, working with my hands, and picking up new skills quickly. Whether it’s working on equipment, assisting with construction, or helping out with daily tasks, I’m always ready to contribute.
