Hello, my name is Rubia!
I'm a hardworking and creative young woman, always curious to discover new things and meet new people. People describe me as someone motivated and passionate, who puts her heart into everything she does.
I'm joining the Workaway adventure mainly to travel around Brazil. As I hold both Belgian and Brazilian nationalities, I’m eager to reconnect more deeply with my roots, immerse myself in the local culture, and improve my limited Portuguese. I'm especially drawn to Brazil’s vibrant cultural and historical cities.
Originally from Brussels, Belgium, I grew up in a Western culture with a climate that can be... a bit chilly at times — which only makes me even more excited to spend time under the Brazilian sun!
I enjoy and have experience with various artistic and craft techniques, and I also have skills in graphic design, web design, and web development. I'm sporty, love cooking, and I'm always eager to learn new things!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a recent graduate of elementary education with a technical specialization in graphic design, web design, and 3D. I have solid skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as in the 3D software Blender and the web languages HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Passionate about visual creation, I have completed various projects such as websites, posters, brochures, and logos, which I am very proud of. I would be happy to offer these types of services.

I speak French as my native language, have an intermediate level in Portuguese, and a beginner level in English. I am happy to teach French and help with both spoken and written practice.

On a practical level, I am comfortable with manual work, having participated in wood construction during scout camps. I enjoy hands-on tasks, DIY projects, and I am curious to learn more about gardening and working with plants.

In daily life, I cook regularly for myself and my family. I can adapt to different dietary needs, including vegetarian diets, and I enjoy preparing a variety of balanced and nutritious meals. I also like learning new recipes.

Finally, I am a person who cares about my well-being. Last year, I started weight training to overcome being underweight and managed to gain nearly 10 kilograms. This experience taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of taking care of myself.
