We have many activities to offer during your time off. You will be free to use the bicycles, canoes and Stand up Paddle Boards. As well i try to take helpers to Algonquin Park at least once every two weeks.

I stayed for 10 days just after coming off of a summer season and was travelling east. I arrived in mid fall and it is absolutely stunning! The property itself is gorgeous, right on the lake where I got to stay in a cozy little bunkie listening to the waves at night. It was a pleasure to have Bianca stay with us on Golden Lake. She was always helpful preparing the dinners that were always delicious. She also is a great photographer, and made friends with the other workawayers. She has great skills with interacting with the guests at breakfast mornings and check ins. I would highly recommend her to other hosts

Charlotte was an amazing helper. She is one of the most talented and creative cooks I have met. She can go into the garden and fridge and created delicious meals without a recipe. This was my first Workaway experience ever and I felt like I’ve got the jackpot! Desmond is such a nice host, he really made sure we saw a lot of the area and showed us local coffee shops, a little town nearby and even went hiking with us! It was a pleasure to have Neil stay with us on Golden Lake. He is 100% professional and brings a very high standard of french class and cooking skills. The other helpers and I really enjoyed watching him cook and his quiche recipe of zucchini and bacon was fantastic. I would highly recommend Neil to other hosts and he is welcome back here anytime.

It was great to have Nina stay with us at our bed and breakfast. She is a talented cook and a joy to be around. She got along very well with the other helpers as well as our cat Lucy. Nina also left us an "amazing" recipe book before her departure it was a great idea and has helped us tremendously. I would recommend her to other hosts.

I loved my stay here!! Wish I had been able to experience it in the summer, but the fall colours were simply gorgeous. It's a great relaxing place to work. The work is minimal and everyone is great. So many things to do in your spare time. Highly recommended, hope to visit again.
