Description

We are a long term couple, finally escaping the country where we met to explore the world together!
Robert, 33 years old and from New Zealand: I'm a classic car mechanic/restorer when I'm not travelling. I love all things mechanical and technical. I'm extremely handy with tools and love to fix things. I have already a lot of work away experience in Asia doing various things from building eco houses, teaching English, working on a bamboo farm, working in hostels and restaurants. Not afraid of hard work! Every experience was a great one! I cannot wait until I can live these experiences again.
Lisa, 32 years old, from Europe: I studied to be a teacher for higher secondary school (English, Geography & art), and worked as teaching assistant for children with ASD and in ASD therapy back home. During the last 1,5 years in Canada I worked as a waitress/bartender and retail as a sales advisor.
I try to practice yoga daily as form of self care and meditation, love all things nature (hiking, swimming, snowboarding, climbing...) and while living in Canada I have been focusing on creating my own art and would love to continue to do so.
I hope to enrich other people's lives with it was well as my own.

Rob: I would be happy to keep my recently learnt German language so if any hosts are wanting German speaking practice then I would be happy to help. Lisa: I am happy to practice English and German with you! German is my first language and English my second. I grew up bilingual and studied teaching English. So I'd say I'm rather fluent and happy to help you get there, too!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Robert.
I'm a car mechanic and fabricator by trade, so competent with tools and also any kind of driving task (i have an international driving license). I am also a very logical thinker and can apply my self to almost any task. I'm also not scared of labor-intensive, dirty or heavy work as i grew up on a farm. I've also completed many work exchanges now in multiple countries and have done everything from cleaning hostels, working in restaurants, house renovations to building earth bag houses!

Lisa. I studied to be a teacher. I can speak very fluent English, German and I am learning French and Spanish (Would love to learn more). I also can also help teach either English or German. I also am very active with yoga and love to share the experience with others. My number one hobby is gardening. I have a large exotic plant collection here in Germany and love to grow as much food as possible using natural methods.

We both really enjoy sports in the winter and summer. We love to Ski, rock climb, hike, ride bikes (and Rob Motorbikes).
Camping / wild sleeping is also one of our favorite hobbies.
Rob is obsessed with cars and most technical things. This is his profession when he's not travelling. So if you have any questions or need any help with your car then he's the right person to talk too!
Lisa is a studied teacher, experienced teaching assistant and educational professional, and artist with a passion for nature, yoga, life and nature. Happy to share the passion for art, and to host creative workshops for those who are looking to deepen the connection to their creative side, or beautify your space for you!
