Hi! My name is Peter, and I love meeting new people and contributing wherever I can.

I'm from Denmark and have more than 20 years of experience working in marketing, IT, communication, and education – especially within the cultural and media sectors. I hold a Master’s degree in Human Centered Informatics from the University of Copenhagen, and I’ve worked as a project manager, teacher, developer, and consultant.

But for me, Workaway isn’t just about professional skills – it’s about connecting with people, places, and experiences. I thrive in social environments where I can make a difference, learn something new, and give back. I can help with anything from communication and organization to practical IT tasks, teaching, hosting, and guest services.

I’m curious, adaptable, and a great team player – and I truly enjoy being part of a shared mission, whether at a hostel reception, a cultural project, or something completely different.

I speak fluent Danish and English, and I can get by in German too.

I bring a unique combination of technical skills, creativity, and people-oriented experience. I’ve worked as a project manager, IT consultant, teacher, and marketing professional in both public and private sectors. My main strengths include:

Project coordination and communication

Website and platform development (HTML, CMS, script programming)

PR, marketing, and social media

Teaching and supervision (IT, media, office tools)

Customer support and user-focused development

Event planning and content creation

I’m also used to adapting quickly, solving problems on the spot, and working independently or as part of a team. Whether you need help behind the screen or front of house, I’m happy to contribute with what I know – and to learn something new in the process.
