We are currently at home but will begin our next trip in Southeast Asia again where we left off and make our way to Central Asia.

Hello! We are Owen and Uma!

We met at the end of 2024 in Vietnam while volunteering and decided to continue our journey together. We taught English for three months in Thailand and then in Vietnam again. We both really enjoy working with children and animals. We are creative, open minded and always up for learning new skills. We are also interested in other kinds of volunteering projects like agricultural/farm style work.

Owen~ I am from New Hampshire and grew up near the ocean and the mountains. I love hiking and doing outdoor activities. I've coached sports to young kids and did a 10 month volunteering program where I rebuilt buildings and worked with animals. I've more recently been traveling to Central America and Southeast Asia volunteering with animals and teaching English. I am fluent in English and have been able to practice lots of Spanish.

Uma~ I am German and I grew up in London. I am fluent in both English and German and wish to learn more languages. I am passionate about music, the arts, animals and wellness. Since leaving school I traveled to Southeast Asia and Australia, I moved to Austria and loved hiking and being in the mountains. I am currently working in heath and social care as a domiciliary carer back in London. I believe in having strong morals and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

Our current plans are to travel to south east Asia and explore the places we didn’t get to see in our previous trip and slowly make our way to Central Asia. To have new experiences learning from the people we meet and the projects we work on. And to make new memories growing together. We are planning to go with the flow and we look forward to hearing from you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have taught English classes for a few months in Asia doing a variety of different subjects. We also like making up games to play with students.

Owen- I have lots of Catering and customer service experience and for the last few years I have been a pool technician making sure swimming pools are running properly and staying clean. As for volunteer experience, I have worked in a few hostels helping with guests and I have worked with animals at larger animal sanctuaries where I needed to take care of of many animals. I also have some gardening and animal care experience.

Uma- I also have been volunteering as an English teacher for several months. While I am at home I recently have been working as an elderly care provider in London. Prior to this I was a receptionist at a hotel in Austria. I have lots of customer service experience but I love working volunteering with children the most.
