Hi everyone! My name is Natalia (but my friends call me Naty). I’m 26 years old and I’ve just finished five long years of Law School. I’m a very active person I don’t like staying still. I was born in Chile, but after high school I chose Italy as my home, where I’ve been living on and off for the past 7 years. This is because I feel like I haven’t found my place in the world yet, so in the meantime, I’ve decided to try out as many as I can.

Over these 7 years, I’ve lived in Germany as an au pair, spent a year studying in Madrid, and most recently split my time between Málaga and Bologna. The last place I called home was Turin, Italy… but apparently I’m not great at staying in one place 😄

Since then, I’ve been on the move. In July last year (2025) I came to France and started traveling around, doing Workaway and living with just my backpack. I guess now I just find a bit of “home” wherever I go.

I prefer experiences that give something back and teach me new ways of seeing the world… and that’s exactly why I signed up for Workaway

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

One of my greatest passions is definitely cooking🌱 not only because I love good food, but also because I genuinely enjoy the whole process (and, according to friends and hosts, I’m pretty good at it!). Over time, I’ve often found myself naturally taking care of the kitchen. whether it’s for big dinners with friends, graduation parties, or during my Workaway experiences, cooking for different groups of people. I really enjoy adapting to what’s available and creating something nice to share… and somehow I usually end up being “the one in charge of food” without really planning it 😄

I also love experimenting, especially in my free time, when I make homemade vegan cheeses both fresh and aged ones. For me, cooking is not just practical, it’s creative and a way to connect with people.

At the same time, I really enjoy being active and working with my hands. During my Workaway experiences, I’ve done a bit of everything: I volunteered in an animal sanctuary, taking care of horses, cows, and other animals (feeding them, cleaning, and helping with daily routines), and I’ve also worked on more practical projects like basic construction, working with wood, using cement, painting windows, and helping with small renovations. I’m not afraid of physical work I actually enjoy it (even if I sometimes discover muscles I didn’t know I had 😂).

Being outdoors has always been part of my life. I grew up camping in remote places with my family, so I’m very comfortable outside of my comfort zone and without all the usual city conveniences.

I also really enjoy spending time with children. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15, so I’m used to organizing games, activities, and adapting to their energy (which is usually a lot 😅.

Overall, I’m a very curious and hands-on person. I like learning by doing, trying new things, and getting involved in different kinds of environments. I adapt easily, I enjoy helping, and I like feeling that I’m contributing in a meaningful way whether that’s through cooking, physical work, or simply being part of a new place and its rhythm
