Description

My name is Natalie- I’m passionate about permaculture, sustainability, cultural exchange, learning how to live with the land, and I’m excited to learn more about your projects! After quitting my corporate job in January 2024, I’m genuinely excited to get my hands in the dirt and live more in touch with nature and my body, and discover all that it can do.

I've done two Workaways so far -- I volunteered at an eco-farm/art community in Arizona making bricks for an adobe bathhouse, then spent two months in the U.S. Virgin Islands gardening, painting, cooking, marketing, beekeeping, and other side projects. I love baking, cooking, arts/crafts, and learning new skills! I have degrees in marketing and entrepreneurship with 4 years marketing experience, let me know if there are related business needs I can help with. I love having a variety of tasks during the week, and am most excited about gardening and animal care tasks.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked for just over two months on a restoration project in St. Croix, USVI where I did a variety of tasks: gardening, painting, spackling, hotel room cleaning, sewing, cooking, and marketing. I’ve hauled 80lb/36kg bags of concrete, and while it was challenging, I’m able to help with some heavy lifting as needed. I also worked on an earth building project in Arizona making cob bricks—I’d love to learn more about eco building. I love animals and am eager to learn how to care for all kinds of them. I love the feeling of a job well done and truly look forward to helping you with your projects. With some patience and willingness to fill in the gaps when I don’t know how to do something, we’ll make a great team!

I have a degree in marketing and entrepreneurship and experience in social media marketing, content writing, and some graphic design, so I could help with any small business/marketing needs. I prefer to have varied tasks and to also work with my hands, so ideally I don’t spend more than half my hours on marketing related projects.

I love exploring the outdoors and would love any local recommendations! I love playing music (clarinet mostly), but would welcome a guitar or piano lesson (or any other instrument you have laying around!). I crochet and would be happy to teach, I’m hoping to learn about weaving/spinning yarn some day. I also read a lot and love to chat about books, especially optimistic sci-fi. I love getting to know people and chatting, but my introversion means I need solo rest sometimes. I’ve lived with large groups and alone, I’m very flexible.
