Hello!
My name is Nadija, I am 18 years old and come from Germany.
I am currently inbetween two study paths, having studied geoscience for three semesters before (if you're confused about my age: I completed school early) and looking to study civil engineering later on this year. However, before this new path begins, I wish to gain a totally different outlook on life by fulfilling my childhood dream of travelling to Sweden!

I really enjoy human connection and being able to help in any way I can. Though I might not be the most adventurous type, after a couple of days, you will actually find that I will become quite chatty and curious!
I love nature and exploring it, especially through hiking. To me, the small or hidden things in nature are fascinating, and I am always interested in learning more. Sweden, with its vast wilderness and wonderful countyside, has always been the perfect place for me to do so.
On the other side, I also like to explore new worlds through my other two big hobbies: Reading, cooking and baking. In books, anything can happen and it really opens you up to new perspectives! And with cooking & baking, you can always discover new techniques in recipes from all around the world.

I joined workaway to step out of my comfort zone and really learn about different ways of life, gain more independence and openness towards the world, and of course get to know all sorts of new friends and acquaintances!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

-I have been working in a horse stable for a couple of months, as well as doing some horseback riding for three years, so I know a little bit about horses, mucking out, taking care of the stable, weeding and other general farm work.

-I love to cook and bake for my family, and would love to assist you with this as well (although I am not so experienced with vegan food so far, in case this is your diet).
I can also do some general housework like dishwashing, laundry, cleaning etc.

-I have some experience with sewing (both by hand and machine), as I like to make historical clothing from time to time. But I would like to learn even more!

-I have helped out at children's holiday camps before, and have two small siblings myself, therefore I could help out with childcare here and there.

-I speak German as my native language, in my childhood, I did learn some Ukrainian from my parents as well, although I'm not as good as it. In school, I additionally learned English and French, and currently, I'm trying to teach myself some Swedish.

-I have a driver's license since March and have been practicing avidly. It works for both manual and automatic transmission cars, although I have more experience with automatic ones.

-Regarding anything else, I have a great will to learn more and aquire new skills during my stay with you!
