Description

We both grew up on the Isle of Wight and we met later in life through our love of the sea and surfing. We're taking the leap to quit our jobs in April 2026 and are looking to travel for as long as we can.

We've always held a positive attitude towards work and get great joy out of seeing a plan or project come together and grow. This suites us a lot better than the classic backpacker travelling, so we're keen to do workaways along the way.

Mikael spent most of his twenties working as a scuba diving instructor all over the world. In the last 5 years he has been working as an organic vegetable farmer whilst also doing some gardening and construction work.

Anne-Marie has spent the last 10 years living in London and the last 6 working in finance. She is looking to learn new skills and to experience living in different environments whilst being closer to nature.

We have both bonded over walking, surfing and camping over the last few years and last year we bought and converted a van which we have explored a lot of the UK with and are now looking for a bigger adventure.

We enjoy the outdoors and all the activities that come with it. We are social people and are getting to know other people's stories and experiences are very inspiring for us.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As part of being a Diver and Activity instructor I had to communicate with and organize big groups of people. I consider myself to have good interpersonal and time keeping skills as well as customer service experience.

I've spent a few month working as a builder and gardening. I really enjoy practical work and love building something or seeing something come together after planing and working towards it.
