  Description

  We are Ranjila and Aryian, a couple living and working together on our 10-acre farm in Taveuni, Fiji's Garden Island. Our home is surrounded by tropical nature, with it's own river with fresh spring water, coconut and many different fruit trees, and with an ocean view.
  We grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and fruit and are successfully operating our small farm business, delivering fresh produce to our cutomers. We are slowly growing our business to include a sustainable and nature-based guest experience, offering accommodations for travelers on our farm.
  We enjoy cooking with fresh produce from the garden and sharing meals and stories with our guests. Life here is simple, peaceful and connected to nature.
  
  Since a farm is a full-time job, and it is only us two running it, we would love some help with daily farm duties, such as: gardening, planting, harvesting, caring for animals, maintaining the property and working on new projects around the farm. We have dogs, chickens, and ducks, so there is always something to do!
  
  We are self taught, interested in sustainable living and are full of ideas for our farm: from farm stays, to farm-to-table meals, to opening a small spa and creating other experiences for visitors. We would love to welcome Workawayers who enjoy rural life, nature and getting their hands dirty, to help us take care and creatively grow our farm. We are looking for people who are respectful, responsible, easy-going and happy to become part of our little farm family. We hope your time with us will be a chance to learn about farming and island life while also enjoying the beauty and peace of Taveuni. No experience needed, but if you have a background in permaculture, farming, carpentry, building, or sustainability, we are always open to learn from you, too!

  Staying with us is an opportunity to experience everyday life in Fiji beyond the usual tourist experience. We live a simple rural lifestyle on our farm in Taveuni, surrounded by nature, farming and a friendly local community.
  We enjoy sharing our Fijian culture, island lifestyle, food and traditions with Workawayers. You can learn about local farming methods, tropical fruits and vegetables, traditional cooking and how we use fresh ingredients from our farm.
  We love cooking and sharing meals together, so food is an important part of our cultural exchange. You may have the opportunity to try local Fijian dishes, learn how we prepare food from the garden, and also share meals or recipes from your own country.
  We are interested in learning from our Workawayers too. We welcome people from different countries and enjoy hearing about their culture, food, family traditions, travel experiences and way of life. If you have a special skill, recipe, craft or tradition you would like to share, we would be happy to learn.
  Life here is peaceful and relaxed. You can spend time by our beautiful river, explore the natural surroundings, visit local places and experience the slower pace of island life.
  For us, cultural exchange is about sharing, learning, helping one another and becoming part of our home for a while. We hope you leave Taveuni with wonderful memories, new skills and a better understanding of Fiji and island life. 🌿🌊❤️

  Aide

  We are looking for practical, enthusiastic people who enjoy being outdoors and are happy to help with everyday life on a working farm.
  The type of help can vary depending on the season and what is happening on the farm, but may include:
  Helping with planting, weeding, watering and harvesting vegetables and herbs
  Preparing garden beds and keeping the farm areas tidy
  Helping with fruit trees, coconut trees and general garden maintenance
  Feeding and caring for our chickens, ducks, horses and dogs
  Helping with fencing, clearing overgrown areas and general farm maintenance
  Assisting with preparing and packing fresh produce for customers
  Helping with simple cooking and preparing meals using fresh farm produce
  Helping around our accommodation and keeping shared areas clean and welcoming
  Assisting with small farm projects, DIY, painting, building or repairs if you have suitable skills
  Helping with creative projects such as crafts, planting pots, natural products or simple farm decorations
  Taking photos, videos or helping with social media and promotion if you have an interest in this
  We are also happy to hear about your own skills and interests. If you have experience in gardening, farming, carpentry, mechanics, cooking, photography, social media, hospitality or other practical skills, we would love to know.
  The help is not about being pushed hard all day. We want Workawayers to enjoy the experience, learn about island farming and have plenty of time to relax, explore Taveuni and enjoy our beautiful river and natural surroundings.
  Most importantly, we appreciate people who are willing to help, take initiative, communicate well and treat our home, animals, farm and environment with respect. 🌿🌴🐓

  We offer Workawayers a clean, comfortable and peaceful place to stay on our 10-acre farm in Taveuni.
  Accommodation is in a private room within our farm property, with a comfortable bed and a safe, quiet environment surrounded by tropical gardens and nature. Guests have access to shared bathroom and living areas, and there are peaceful outdoor spaces where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air.
  Of course workaways are always welcome to camp on the property, we have few 2person tent, and can enjoy outdoor living.
  The farm is a secure and friendly home environment, and we expect everyone to respect the property, our animals and each other's privacy.
  Food is an important part of life here. We grow fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit on the farm and enjoy cooking with what we produce. Workawayers will be provided with meals during their stay, with food based around fresh farm produce and local ingredients. We also welcome Workawayers who would like to cook or share recipes and meals from their own country.
  In your free time, you can relax by our beautiful river, enjoy the gardens, read, explore the surrounding nature or visit other parts of Taveuni.
  Our accommodation is simple rather than luxury, but it is clean, comfortable, safe and surrounded by the beautiful natural environment that makes island life special. 🌴🌺🌊
