Hello! My name is Mert. I am a multi skilled 35 year old man. Cooking, music, traveling, arts and meeting new people are some of the things i like. I traveled quite a bit, but still not enough. I'm looking for new destinations to learn and discover.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked in a kitesurf hotel and restaurant/bar for 3 years, Urla Surf House. I managed the restaurant and bar, worked inside and outside the kitchen, worked as a barman in the evenings, organize concerts and events. During the offseason i was helping with the renovation, gardening and pool. I also helped in the hotel reception, took care of the guests. Basically it was a family business where i had help where ever i could help for the whole place. Thats where i heard about workaway first time, and worked a lot with volunteers. Since then all my traveling plans are based on volunteering as well :)

Before that i studied acting, and than ran my own store in Istanbul until i decided to move to kite beach in west of Turkey.

I now have my own pizzeria next to the kite beach in Urla.

In the winters i try to travel and experience new things. I went to Mexico last 2 winters and worked in kitchen and bars.

I'm now looking for a new experience and destination for this winter.

My special abilities to create good food, good drinks and entertain the guests.

I'm amateur trumpet player and interested in making music. Love cycling and trekking outdoor in my free time. The most thing that I like is traveling and taking/editing photos and videos. AND COOKING :)

I'm very social, respectful and people tell me that i am very hard working :) I'm a very easygoing and open minded person, i have shared my table with people from all ways of life. And i want to continue doing that.
