Hi! My name is Melissa, and I’m from Frankfurt, Germany, currently living in Kaiserslautern.

I’m an architecture student with a passion for learning about different cultures and traditions. Before studying architecture, I pursued Comparative Literature and Japanese Studies at Goethe University in Frankfurt.
I’m a creative and hands-on person, with skills in working with materials, building techniques, and sustainable design practices. I’m also passionate about advocating for environmentally friendly construction and creating a better-built environment. I’d love to contribute to DIY projects, learn new skills, and share knowledge wherever possible.

In my personal life, I am a passionate artist who enjoys experimenting with a wide range of creative mediums, from painting and printmaking to pottery and sewing. I always say that you can never have too many hobbies, especially when there is so much to explore and learn. I also enjoy reading and exploring various genres of literature, studying new languages, and I’m deeply connected to music, which is another source of inspiration for me.
I value communication and mutual respect in every interaction, and I thrive in collaborative environments. I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. As a teenager, I babysat for several families, and I’ve always stayed connected to children in my personal life. I’m also a huge animal lover, having grown up with dogs and currently caring for the pets of friends and family.

Focusing on my master’s degree has made it surprisingly difficult to find time for my other passions, whether that means getting creative, enjoying some time to myself, or travelling. Somehow, studying has a habit of filling every supposedly free corner of the calendar. I’m therefore eager to reconnect with the things I love and make space for new experiences and meaningful exchanges.
I’m curious, open-minded, and always excited to learn something new. I look forward to meeting you and helping in any way I can!

- Cooking and Shopping (I love to cook and I'd be excited to learn new recipes!)
- Doing housework: making beds, cleaning, …
- Animal care: I grew up with lots of animals, especially dogs. And I still enjoy taking care of them.

- Child care: I have been taking care of my younger family members from time to time (Cousins, etc.) since they were born. I Addition, I've been working as a Babysitter for quite a while now and I really love being around Children.
