Hello! My name is Marina and I am very excited to become a workawayer :)

Why I have decided to come to Thailand? Easy answer: it will be my first solo travel to another country and I could not imagine any other place than this one, where nature and good vibes are mixed. I love working in difficults areas full of difficulties, that's where I feel that I can help more. I love giving all what I know in order to learn from it. I love diversity and I truly belief that education is the most important key to create a better world, full of people with aims to help others:)
I am travelling to this country with an idea to stay as long as I feel I need to be there, which means that after having the expirience I might be travelling around (or maybe I decide to stay, who knows!)

My friends define me as a happy flower, always smiling and laughing; transmiting good vibes. I am an explorer so I love travelling whenever I can. I also think that I am a very responsible person, conscious and dedicated to everything I do, as well as passionate. I love nature so hiking and walking around trees makes my day happy; I practice climbing and I love all kinds of sport in general (I'm an active person who avoids being all the time closed indoors). I love learning new things as well as teaching them to others. About me, I would say that I am an open-minded person that adapts easily to difficult situations, having this capacity to reorganize everything in less than a minute.

I love learning new languages. My mother languages are two: catalan and spanish. I can speak perfectly in English, I have been teaching it to kids and teenagers and I feel confident doing it. Also, I have been for two years learning german and some italian. I am excited to learn other languages related to the place where I am staying :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I finished this year my career as a primary teacher (6-12 years old). During this four years, I have been working in three different schools for several months and in differents group ages. I love teaching and it makes me feel happy becuase at the end, it's my vocation. Also, I have been already for several years working as a monitor (someone who leads the session) in extra school activitis like teaching english and also teaching sports (climbing, rollerskating, skate, football, basketball, ...). I have been working also in summer camps with teenagers and kids and in other areas like recepcionist in hotels and waitress, in restaurants and luxury hotels.

I have an advanced level in english (C1) acreditaded with a certificate and I have been living abroad beacuse of my studies in the Netehrlands for almost 6 months, where all the classes and works were asked mandatory in English.

In my future, I want to develop and innovative project related to education so I think that by learning how education is in different countries, as well as different methods and ways, I can have this diverse and cultural vision about education from the inside, by experimenting it and not only by reading it.

I have my first work published where I proppose a new methodology to learn help students to learn about diversity and become conscious about prejudices and social stereotypes. The name of the publication is under this name (Una propuesta de estudio para prevenir el acoso escolar en edades tempranas: Metodología “Persona Doll”).
