My name is Marie, I am 27 and I am from Czech republic. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something new, so I decided to travel alone to the other side of the world :) I hope to have lots of adventures, meet new people and learn something new about myself. I think there is no better way to do this than to start working, which, apart from walking, travelling and meeting new people in my life, I enjoy doing, it fulfills me. So I hope that I will find great opportunities here to volunteer on interesting projects and to get to know the local life and people. I am interested at farm work or also something like social work, which I studied at university in Czech republic.

I like to learn new things, I think I learn quickly. I have experience working with children, cooking, cleaning, some farming and I worked as a social worker for 3 years. I will try to handle whatever is needed.

Dan really saved me when I needed to leave other place (not workaway place). Dan reacted so quickly and offered me that I could stay with him for a while which I really appreciate, it was last minute.
He told me lot about Aboriginal culture and showed me interesting places around.

Marie was a pleasure to have here at Swan Cove. She was responsible and took care of all the jobs very well. Marie did a particularly wonderful job of the raking of the leaves and it was wonderful to see the green grass revealed. The kangaroos do the mowing but at certain times of the year there are lots of fallen gum leaves.
