  Description

  Hi Dan here, at a place called Wallaga Lake aka beauty point a small coastal town on the NSW south coast
  
  I'm friendly with an open mind to learn . I find it interesting meeting people with different lifestyles and experiences I admire deep conversations that make me consider or change my certain point of view or perspective of any talking point
  
  I live close to the beach and lived by the ocean most of my life ,This has giving me a feeling of comfort and a good knowledge of reading and knowing ocean behaviour . I learnt to surf in my early teenage years and by far the best things I’ve learnt to do in my whole life having a connection to the ocean though surfing for me opened a whole new perspective of how I look at and respect the forces of nature because of my experience I try to encourage this to everyone I meet. If learning is something you would like to experience, the beach opposite my house is a good all-round beach whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer. . I’m happy to teach beginners the basics and assist with their learning process. As well as other beach and ocean activities such as fishing , snorkelling or just to get feeling of being comfortable while in the ocean, although I am not comfortable around sharks at all. Like most of us I do find them terrifying or maybe not them but the thought of being eaten a life terrifying, so before going into the ocean, I always try communicate telepathically with them to let them know. I'm no threat to them or there food supply. I'm using the ocean to enjoy to have fun and thatI'm not competing against them for their food source also that I'm boney and that they won't like the taste of me cause I'm too salty haha seems to have worked so far.
  
  Over the years I've worked in many all within the environment field, mostly with different government organisations and non for profit Aboriginal organisations from being a Field Ranger for both National Parks and Marine Parks,  community liaison and support worker , delivered projects that protect threatened species and their  habitat,  projects that creating awareness of  anthropologic events and the importance of sacred Indigenous sites but now I enjoy working for myself,
  
  I have a passion for traditional land management through the use of fire; it’s a complex but gentle approach with fire that enhances and protects ecosystems and habitats within the Australian landscape. Traveling across the land like water and has an opposite effect to the terrifying destructive fires that we see today. this practice was a part of Australian landscape systems for thousands of years before colonisation I like to learn from nature, though unique symbiotic relationships and patterns within each landscape and ecosystem,
  
  I can teach about local Indigenous landscape and a few landscape features creation stories,,a few bush foods and plant uses
  
  Im always respectful and create a comfortable safe space for my guest. And if a guest decides that this place is not for them then I’m happy for them to leave at their own accord

  I can share knowledge of the local culture and traditional land practice and different local landscapes / eco systems patterns and relationships with certain wildlife that are dependent
  
  I can explain to a in depth knowledge about both fire forest management system as well as the differences between western ( hazard reduction) and traditional methods and can explain both of the holistic outcome achieved
  
  Depending on time of year and the season I can teach a little about different native plants, foods and uses . also gathering traditional sea foods
  
  If you're interested in surfing, i can teach and give lessons to at a beginner level. I have a suitable board for those just starting also teach about other ocean and beach activities
  
  I enjoy the social aspects that workaway has to offer. I enjoy learning from guests as much as I enjoy teaching, I’m always up for learning something new

  My house is quite spacious with a veranda. I live alone with no pets at the moment , Guest have privacy of their own room , the rest of the house is shared. There are plenty of places for privacy to relax and have some quiet time Food can be supplied but depending on our agreement and help hours

  If this is something that you’re interested in, please feel free to send me a message and we can then do a video call and decide from there, Visitors in their spare time can enjoy exploring beautiful beaches, coast line and nature that is area has to offer The area where I live has spectacular beauty but is also limited by public transport, I have a vehicle so I can transport guest while stay along as it not ridiculously out of the way
