Hi, I am Weijen :D
I currently live in the U.S., but I am originally from Taiwan. I love reading, traveling, learning about different cultures, and having in-depth discussions on various topics (science, social issues, moral values, anything goes!). Psychology is the subject that fascinates me the most; however, my interests are all over the place, and I have a bit of curiosity in everything. I am open-minded and would love to be introduced to different cultures, lifestyles, and values.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

This is my first time using Workaway, but I have solo-traveled and volunteered both in the U.S. and abroad before (e.g., Taiwan, Costa Rica, the Philippines).

I have some experience working with children from volunteering as a group therapy assistant in a child psychiatry unit, tutoring elementary school students, and organizing activities for an elementary school summer program in the Philippines.

I have some experience working on construction projects on a sustainable farm in Costa Rica and in a rural community in the Philippines.

I have tutored basic English to both kids and adults who are learning English as a second language.

I have taken a few college-level courses in psychology, including Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and the Psychology of Addiction.

I can read, write, and speak fluently in English and Chinese.

I don't mind long work hours and learning new skills!

Most of the people around me would describe me as inquisitive and hardworking. I spend most of my free time reading and researching random topics on the internet. However, I love to travel, try new things, and meet new people when I get the chance, so I would say I am an adventurous introvert :) And I am also a big Formula 1 and Harry Potter fan!
