Hi! :) I’m Moira or you can call me Moon
(Marianne on my passport but I don't go by this name!)

I'm an artist and bodyworker from London practicing mostly in the fields of tattoo, metal, clay, film, jewellery, yoga and massage, looking to gain new skills to equip me for living a more sustainable life closer to nature. I would love to gain experience with permaculture, natural building, gardening and eco living, to share the practice of yoga and to generally explore ways of life outside of the city grind.

Any opportunities to get close the ground and connect to community are welcome. I’m creative, curious and open minded, coming from a city of all walks of life. Art, music, food, a good book, mycology, meditation, yoga, and nature are what fill me with joy. I love connecting with people but am generally attuned to the peaceful things!

I have several experiences with volunteering and community life, having spent some living with a community just outside of San Cristobal de las Casas in Mexico and offering work outside in exchange for a stay in central Portugal :)

I have experience with solo travel but not yet with workaway! I’m a fast and eager learner, very physically fit and happy to rise to any challenges thrown at me. Don’t be put off by the fact that I don’t have much experience in the outdoors, you’ll be surprised!:))

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've spent several months in 2022 volunteering at a Buddhist meditation centre in Northamptonshire England, much of which has involved cleaning and general domestic skills. My experience there taught me a lot about the nature of happiness, presence and how to enjoy life simply. I've had three years barista and waitress experience so am familiar with working efficiently in a team and taking instructions.
I have a diverse artistic practice which spans from tattooing, drawing, painting, printing and filmmaking and editing so would be eager for any creative projects you may have. I have a wide range of digital skills including video and photo editing, graphic design and social media content creation as a huge element of modern tattooing is self branding online
I trained in Nepal as a Yoga and meditation teacher under Yoga Alliance USA, and would be keen to lead or contribute to classes and share my passion
Sadly I don't have much experience yet with permaculture/gardening, but I have a predisposition for the outdoors and would love to learn! I'm an avid runner and yogi so happy to take on more physical work and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in the garden
Finally I'm PASSIONATE about plant based cooking and love to turn humble vegetables into wonderful delicious creations ! The kitchen is my happy place
