Description

I love nature and getting to know new people, cultures and places. After a life changing personal experience I decided to follow a different life path. One that will be more sustainable, bring me closer to people and nature, allow me to learn / grow and have a positive impact on others. To feed my curiosity for life and achieve a piece of mind.
Within this context, i volunteered in farms in Costa Rica and Guatemala and in educational projects in Peru for 3 months. These experiences represent one of the most noteable memories and lessons of my life. I learned about local communities and their cultures, lived with them part of their happy moments and hardships, engaged with people (worked, laughed, cried, meditated, shared our stories, made friendships) and ultimately provided some help to the local people regarding their projects. Following this experience, i want to continue assisting local communites, i would like volunteering to become a sustainable part of my life.
If i join your project, I will bring my enthusiasm and motivation to learn about you and your story, your project and its needs, the ways that I could assist you. I will also bring my strong will to share my story, ideas and experiences and a big smile:).
My goal is after each exchange to have served your needs to the maximum of my ability, as well as both the host and myself to be a bit more complete and wise, to be better members of society. After all, what matters in my view in this life is your impact on other people, society and the planet. I want to try my best for a good one.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Teaching / Activities Instructor related experience:
• In Peru, i volunteered via Otra Cosa organization. Tasks included: a) Leading the Sport Activities session b) Assisting in English classes c) Organizing lectures material for envrironmental classes d) Assisting with fundraising initiatives.
• In Guatemala, i taught the children of local families English, geography and football.
• Obtained certificate from the Cypriot government to provide professional lectures.
• Provided professional lectures on ‘Introduction to Financial Modelling’.
• Provided private classes to two separate students (junior / high) in mathematics.
Farming Experience
• In Costa rica and Guatemala i joined some farm projects (via WWOOF independents). In these, i helped the local families doing certain tasks such as planting, weeding, digging, creating undregroung routes for waterpipelines, creating wholes to make fences, fertilizing, pruning, watering and construction work.
Other Competencies (Fundraising, Business plan, Accounting and Finance):
• My every day job relates to providing business and financial advise to large corporations.
• My work has given me the opportunity to get exposure in diverse projects, communicate with many clients, collaborate with and manage different people. Based on the above, I developed communication, teamwork, coaching, leadership and project management skills.
• i could assist you in creating a business plan for the project, assessing future opportunities, fundraising, accounting & finance tasks & other commercial issues).

I like a lot hiking, swimming, footbal, biking and table tennis. Moreover, i am very interested about learning local history and traditions.
