Hi dear (and maybe future) hosts! My name is Lisa, born and raised in the Netherlands.

I have done quite a lot of Workaways, as well in Europe as in Asia. I did gardening in France, teaches English in Indonesia and worked at the stables in Spain. What I like most about those Workaway experiences are the people you meet and their way of living. Learning about the culture in different countries or even cities. Getting to know parts of the world where tourism hasn’t been a part.

I'm an laidback person who likes being by herself. It depends on my company, but I do love getting to know other people. Learning about their point of view and all the different personalities. But I do need my space sometimes, just to give you a heads up. I will tell you when I need some though. I can be a party animal when needed, but I like watching the sunrises and sunsets, hiking, skiing, horse-riding or surfing even more.Quite the lover of nature, if you can’t tell.

LI am a dedicated and honest person who stands her ground but is also flexible and understanding.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been working on a farm for a couple of years now. I would like to see some farms with cows, horses and other animals as well as sustainable eco-farming in different countries. I do have experience with horses as I have been horse-riding for eight years and had two horses for five of those years. This has been three years ago though, but I would love to get back into this world because I enjoyed it. Because I have been at farms and stables for a huge part of my life I do know how the hardwork in those environments can be.

I do love to bake and cook from scratch, as I am the “cook” of the house in my family. My mom does the eco-friendly gardening, and I create different meals every time. It doesn’t always come out tasting amazing as I still have a lot to learn. I would love to learn different kind of techniques for cooking.

I also enjoy photographing, especially nature and historical sites. Sometimes I do take photos on events, but for fun, as I’m not great at taking pictures of moving things. If someone can learn me some skills (I have my own Canon camera) I would appreciate it.
