Hello! :) I am Lieke, 24 years old, from the Netherlands. I just finished my master’s degree and now I am travelling, meeting new people and going out of my comfort zone before I start (applying for) a job.

I like to do many things, from reading to (beach) volleyball to surfing to cooking, and more. I enjoy being outside in the nature, whether it is in a forest, on a mountain, or on the beach. In general I would say I am very enthusiastic, happy, optimistic, open-minded and social. I enjoy being around people, getting to know their different (cultural) backgrounds and sharing experiences.

I am hard working, reliable and good in communicating. I’m looking forward to volunteering, connecting with locals and anyone from other places and above all explore new places! Hope to see you soon! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I could help with a wide variety of things, as I am always enthousiastic about learning new things and I am a quick learner and hard worker.

I had different jobs: I worked as fruit picker, in a supermarket, in a warehouse, at the university, and I am currently working in a hostel. Until I started traveling I was also working as a volunteer at the Dutch Refugee Council where I guided and supported refugees who just settled in the Netherlands, by helping them navigate through Dutch institutions and helping them to integrate.

I can help with projects in/around the house, as I also always try to fix things myself, like painting the walls, floor laying, fixing my washing machine. I also love cooking and baking, and would love to learn new recipes or share my recipes. I don't have a garden (but I'd love one), but I have many indoor plants and I like taking care of them and letting them grow 🌱

I speak Dutch and English fluently, and I am learning French and Spanish.
