Hello! I'm Laura, a creative and outgoing person from Middlesbrough, UK. I currently live in Manchester where I work as a barista in a bakery.
I'm travelling solo for 2 months starting in Berlin, then I'm hoping to find some stays in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Nuremberg and Munich.

Whilst in Germany I'm hoping to do a mixture of things, including going to some of the modern art and history museums (especially in Berlin and Munich!), see the beautiful lakes in Bavaria and complete some easy hikes as well as explore the techno and disco scenes in the cities. In my spare time I love to draw little illustrations of people and places and I'm hoping to practice some of this whilst I'm away. I am a very warm and social person who enjoys going out for food and a dance but I also value downtime where I can read, draw or go walking in a peaceful setting.

My ideal stay would be to help with any house/pet sitting duties or helping with childcare but I am very open minded and would love to meet some new people and help wherever I can!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in hospitality for a few years including making coffee as a barista at Gail's Bakery, welcoming people at Everyman Cinema and running a cafe that was part of the People's History Museum in Manchester. My strengths are having a positive mindset, being able to adapt to change quickly and having a strong drive to complete any job I do to the best of my abilities. I can also make some pretty coffees! :) From this experience, I learned that I thrive when caring for others and I love to meet new people and learn about their stories.
Before working full time, I attended university in Brighton where I completed a degree in Media and English Literature. During my three years there I wrote some scripts for television, radio and theatre as well as making a documentary. I am fluent in English and particularly skilled at reading, writing and creating fictional stories.
