Description

We are Kjetil and Marta, a couple from Norway and Spain respectively. We speak English among ourselves, while Kjetil also speaks Norwegian and Marta speaks fluent Spanish and French (Marta has lived in Toulouse, France, for ten years).

A quick introduction to each:

Marta, 32 years old, highly sociable, lover of animals (including humans) and nature. She has various occupations, all of them freelance: photographer, video maker, graphic designer and therapist (nutritionist, phytotherapist) and plays percussion in a music group. Concerned about the health, both of the planet and of people, and its connection to food, the products that are consumed, local and ecological commerce, the use of chemicals at home and pesticides in agriculture... Very active, with an easy character and eager to expose herself to different knowledges and experiences.

Kjetil, 28 years old, a great lover of outdoor activities and especially the mountains (hiking, climbing...), an avid reader and concerned about social and political issues. As a university student of philosophy and psychology, he will be doing an exchange with the University of Padua for 6 months, from September to February.

While staying in Padua we'd love to be part of local projects and everyday life. It's important for us when we’re living in another culture to learn from the local ways of living. That's why WorkAway sounds for us like a perfect option. To learn to speak Italian, therefore, is a high priority of ours, and we will gladly share what knowledge we have of our own languages!

While we will stay in Padua until at least February, we want to be flexible with where we live. We are, therefore, not necessarily planning to stay at the same place for the whole period. These practical questions we can talk more about if our profile seems interesting for you.

We're pretty adaptable and we'll happily contribute to whatever tasks you would like us to do, whether watching animals, gardening, helping with the maintenance of the house, taking care of the children, making food, or any other kind of everyday routines.
