Hello potential Workaway host,


My name is Kelly (some people say: easy-going, hard worker, funny, independent, practical, good cook, always ready to help out where needed).

Born and raised on Cape Cod MA, I have been living in Italy for 30 years (I have dual US/EU citizenship).

Past work experience includes: running a farm (sheep, chickens, pigs, donkey - making and selling cheese and bread), working as a secretary for the CEO of a small company, freelance translator (working from home - not always mine- for over 15 years), and running a successful airbnb as a host offering rooms.

I speak English and Italian. My German is rusty, my Spanish is not good at all but I can get by.

I would love to help out at a B&B or hostel-type situation. I would like to have my own bedroom though please.
I am also interested in holding down the fort (house/pet/plant sitting) while you are either away or simply too busy to get things done and need a helping hand.

Unfortunately, the past few years I have been the unofficial end of life caretaker for some family and friends. I say unfortunately because, well, you know, Having said that, I would (and probably will) do it again.

Generally speaking, I am not a hardcore anything as far as eating habits, spiritually, politics goes. Moderation, flexibility and basically doing my best to make the most out of any situation is how I role.

I have a good eye for seeing what needs to be done and doing it. I understand that I am a guest at your place so ultimately you are the boss and we do things your way.
