Description

We are two young travelers from the United States, currently teaching English in Madrid, Spain. We are experienced travelers in both Western and Eastern Europe, as well as Türkiye and Georgia. We are interested in learning about history, language, and art as we continue our travels. Both of us have experience working with manual labor, farming and gardening, caring for animals, teaching, and most fondly, working in artistic communities and museums/galleries. We welcome opportunities to spend peaceful time in nature, and give back to the communities we visit in any way we can.

We both have formal experience teaching English to children and adults. The opportunity to learn about the local language is something we love to do while traveling. We like to try and learn at least the basics when traveling to a new place and it would be great to share language skills together.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are employed as English teachers in Spain, but pursue artistic lives as well. The summer presents itself as an opportunity to be in nature, and enjoy a different pace of life!
We are both excited to take on the responsibility of any new tasks, as well as share and teach about our own skills. Both of us are thoughtful, organized, and adaptable to new environments. We enjoy quiet solitude in nature, as well as collaboration in a like-minded group. We both have experience working in the arts in New York and Madrid, teaching English, cleaning, cooking healthy food, gardening/farming, and working in hospitality. We have some experience repair work, construction, etc. and are enthusiastic to learn more. We can help with technology, both have a lot of experience with websites, photography and have some cameras with us if that could come in handy for you.
A bit more about us personally: Rajni is a painter and artist and interested in collaborating with artists and assisting in arts initiatives. Julien is a student of art history interested in learning more about the history of the communities and places we find ourselves in. We are both so excited to connect with others and learn from them and about their own stories.
Some other random interests of ours include -- making things from scratch and learning about traditional ways of life in nature, reading about history/politics/religion/art (anything is of interest!) wine-making, musical instruments, and hiking.
