    EDUCATION:

So far, the farthest I have gone in my education is GED and/or earning a high school diploma. I did however take a college level writing class that gave me credits for both the college and my high school gpa/graduation requirements. I like to pride myself on taking rigorous courses throughout my time in school. Over the course of my four years in school I have taken both Pre-AP (pre advanced placement) and AP classes. To give you a little insight on what advanced placement is, it’s basically the highest level of class you can take at the high school level. It acts as a pre-college class with challenging and demanding coursework, heavily weighted tests, and grading. At the end of the year, an optional test is given that covers all of the content learned in the class. If students pass with a 3, 4 or 5, they are able to send over their scores to colleges and universities which can then transfer the test credit over as class credit. Basically, said student isn’t required to take that class anymore because of the test grade. Pretty cool right?

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

Clerked and shadowed in a law firm in San Diego summer after junior year in June from the 2-9. Family law firm called Griffith and Young. (2025)

Worked at Rusty’s my senior year; hired in February started in March; plan to continue working till September then leave for Europe. (2026)

Interned at a consulting company in Bakersfield called Deluge Consulting. This was during my 2 week winter break my senior year. (2025-2026)

    TRAVEL EXPERIENCE:

As of now (soon to be changed), I have only ever gone on excursions with my family here in the States. I have visited and explored many national parks, caves, beaches, forests, desserts, theme parks, cities/architecture and more in the following States:
Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, California of course, and Hawaii. Typically, we would take road trips in all of these places so I’m used to hopping around all over the place and sleeping in some questionable environments lol!
Additionally, I have been to Germany, Austria, and Mexico. Germany-Austria was a combined trip that lasted about 3 weeks. Going abroad with family was definitely a great way to test the waters of international travel and either confirm or deny whether or not I wanted to join Workaway (obviously confirmed!).
We went to Mexico through a cruise. It was super fun and honestly I wouldn’t mind helping a host overseas!

    VOLUNTEER WORK:

Joined the Young Democratic Leaders group to get more involved with our local politics and community, as well as raise awareness on issues regarding homelessness in kern county, starvation, and many other left leaning issues that we want to help fix and improve the standard of life for everyone no matter their color, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or circumstance. I have also done park clean ups through this organization as well.

Fed Thanksgiving meals to families and others in need at Williams Elementary school in Bakersfield, CA from 12:30-2:30 PM, 11/22/25. I distributed and cut pies for the people; interacting with everyone was so cool. You really get a glance at the world from a different perspective.

CASC region 8. I apart of the after high school, young adult education group. My group picked my policy to be represented to local legislators in Kern County aiming to raise awareness for gap year programs so students have another alternative after graduation.

Assistance League Bakersfield; worked as a junior volunteer (AssistTeens). So far, I have helped pack hygiene kits for children who cannot afford them, or kids who are in foster homes. I have also packed essential supplies such as school uniforms, underwear, socks, and hygiene kits for young students who are less fortunate. I worked as a volunteer to be apart of the fashion show committee which assists the elected officers with raising money for Operation School Bell. I have also assisted the league in getting books together to sell in order to raise money for other organizations during Chez Noel.

SPCA furry paws and foggy nights. This is one of the biggest charity events in Bakersfield and I had the opportunity to help as a volunteer with Assistance League Bakersfield. I helped check in guests, answer questions, and provided support during and after the events auction, helped guests find prizes, helped with money, etc. the proceeds went to help animals at the shelters. The mayor was there, it was a big thing.
I also got featured in Life Magazine for helping out which was amazing!!

Democracy school for SEIU 521, Union organization. They are international organization that advocate for unions of workers and worker rights, banning together to help others (immigrant workers or those born in the states) stay protected.
I had the chance to participate and speak out about struggles as a woman in the work and school environment, struggles about my friends with discriminations, and listen/connect with other people’s stories. I also was able to collaborate and help create posters and establish values necessary for government and democratic influences within unions and rights needed to make the workforce and place better for all.

I have worked within my Church community Valley Bible Fellowship to assist with various tasks. For example, for the past 3 years I have been working with children ages 5-12 through a summer program called Vacation Bible School (vbs). Here, student helpers and their leaders watch a groups of kids and guide them around the church to different areas where they learn, engage with their peers, and dive into their creativity. Besides Vbs, I’ve also went with my church to local neighborhoods, downtown, soup kitchens and homeless shelters to give out food and pray for those in need because they, just like us, are people who deserve life and care.

    ADDITIONAL:

I want to acquire a new and diverse skill set, primarily learning things that my parents failed to teach me. I want to use these opportunities to teach me how to be more grounded going into adulthood. Furthermore, I want gain independence and insight only found by being, for lack of better words, thrown into the water head first with no prior knowledge of how to swim. Ultimately, I want to go to places that push me so far away from who I was that I end up finding who I truly am.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

    hello workaway hosts!
some of my current skills that I think would be beneficial towards your projects, businesses, homes, hobbies, etc. include child care, home maintenance/cleaning, agriculture care, willingness to learn and try new things, philanthropic work, ability to pick up new skills relatively quickly, collaboration skills and team work, and skills learned through prior work experience in food, communication, and law. Creatively, I enjoy writing and directing stories as well as acting. I was an active member in my schools drama program. That program also helped me with my ability to take direction, communicate with large crowds of people, and learn what it means to be a community. I was also in my schools agricultural program for 3 years, so I have a general understanding when it comes to farm care.

  • Autres infos...

I am a Christian through and through! I love having conversations about religion (if said person is comfortable talking about it of course) and hearing peoples testimonies. I'm a firm believer in loving others and respecting them and their beliefs just like Jesus did. I also absolutely love film and theater arts! I did theater all four years of
high school and fell in love with writing, directing, and acting out stories. As of right now, I try to film as much as I can constantly coming up with new ideas and editing clips. I hope to get better at camera

work/cinematography while I travel, as well as editing. I love to write
stories as well! Reading books is another one of my favorite past times, especially with hot tea. I absolutely love to go dancing with friends at parties or in the house if we’re tired but still wanna get up and have a
good time. I prefer baking over cooking and my favorite food is pasta. I'm 100% an
animal person/animal lover. Through my lifetime I have owned 10 cats, one rabbit, a hamster, and a gecko (can you tell I'm a cat
person?). I'm also a massive adrenaline junky. I love theme parks with crazy roller coasters. I'm down for any kind adventure whether that be hiking thousands of feet up a mountain, taking a surf class, snorkeling, or bundgy jumping. I love to go on hikes in nature, bike rides, or explore exotic towns. I
recently went skydiving and fell in love with
it. Almost considered getting my license! I'm more than willing to try van life if I meet the right people! I enjoy doing little crafts here and there such as building legos, helping my dad put furniture together, paint fun designs on rocks, draw (though, not very well), or DIY art with trinkets and other materials. I also like to do diamond dot art if

I have them gifted to me as well as pour paintings! I love History and hope to get a better understanding of the world around me, different cultures, and traditions so that way I can use these experiences to help make America a better place. I'm interested in politics, charity, activism, and philanthropy. I love learning all kinds of new things. I also enjoy having deep conversations on philosophy and psychology.
I want to get better at building puzzles and ultimately make an impact on the lives of others :)
