Hello potential friends!

My name is Jaclyn Russek. I am currently 22 years-old, residing in Arizona, United States, and looking for my next big adventure.

Since I graduated from University in December of 2024, I have spent every moment I can spare seeing more of this world by exploring other countries, cultures, and traditions. In the summer of 2023 I lived abroad in Austria as part of a study abroad program and spent a month working with a group of female Middle Eastern refugees making new lives for themselves in Vienna.

Being part of that program, meeting those women, was a turning point in my adult life. I was amazed at both their resolve and their tenacity for learning. Most of them were trilingual and attending University in the city. I spoke to many who missed their home countries but had been forced to leave to ensure the safety and prosperity of their families.

Every single thing I learned from them showed me how small my world was, and how much I have left to learn from others. So now here I am, 22, and accomplishing that very dream with Workaway while simultaneously training to become a commercial pilot.

Finally, the most important thing to know about me is that I value my relationship with God over everything else in my life. I am so grateful for every blessing that He has granted me in my life so far, and I hope through this experience to spread a little more joy, love, and blessings around the world.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am excellent at taking care of children and animals. I am also learning to cook new dishes all the time and am very good at following a recipe.

Overall, I am thrilled to learn from, and improve my skills with, any hosts who will welcome me into their lives for a season. I am a very quick learner, with a dedicated work ethic, and the opportunity to become a resource for your family would be invaluable to me.

I also really love creative projects. I attended school for English and Literature, and since then have taken advantage of every chance I have to utilize my creative mind. So, if you are looking for creative ways to pass the time with your children, or a creative solution to a task, I am your girl. Additionally, I have a talent for book binding and calligraphy.

I am fluent in English and semi-fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

I am a very active person in my daily life and absolutely love anything involving the outdoors/water. I love all water sports, swimming, soccer, running, and most of all, hiking to find a perfect view.

When I’m indoors, I am all about reading. I keep a journal, as well as write lots of stories and poems. I spend a good portion of the evening most days cooking and baking.

I am very close with my family and friends and love to adventure around Arizona and other parts of the world with them, often engaging in thrill-seeking activities like bungee jumping and high speed boating. I can’t wait for whatever comes next in this crazy life!
