Description

I am an adventurous and open-minded preschool teacher who loves kids, reading, writing, yoga, nature, and travel. The main philosophy that drives my work is the belief that all kids deserve caregivers who are excited and enthusiastic to be with them. I also believe that we need to take care of our planet if we want there to be a world for these kids to grow up in--a world that is safe, healthy, and happy. We all have a responsibility to bring that world a little bit closer, in whatever capacity we can. My goal is to volunteer in Central/South America and make connections with likeminded people, improve my Spanish, and hopefully make a difference. I am new to workaway and I can't wait to get started!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a Bachelor's degree in developmental psychology with a minor in Spanish. I have been teaching preschool for the past few years, and during this time I've been trained in trauma-informed care and handling challenging behavior. Both within and outside of my profession, I am patient, hardworking, open-minded, adaptable, and love to try new things and learn more about the world. Organizing to make a neater and more efficient workplace or home environment is another thing I enjoy. I also have amateur experience in cooking, gardening, and simple maintenance.

I really want to use this travel opportunity as a chance to branch out and explore new places, try new things, meet new people, and get out of my comfort zone. This has been a dream of mine for years and I'm excited to finally be making it a reality.
