Heyy! :)
I'm Janis - a 19-year-old girl from Berlin, Germany. I graduated from high-school in june 2023 and want to travel and experience the world before going to university to study politics.
I don't want to travel to countries like a normal tourist but really get to know different people, cultural beliefs, traditions, history, languages and local places instead.
That's why I want to volunteer as much as possible whilst visiting lots of countries.
I want to help wherever help may be needed, exchange knowledge and ideas with other backpackers, tourists and most importantly locals, make positive changes for others and for my mindset as well.
I feel kind of stuck here in my hometown but I know for a fact that the world has endless amounts of beauty, happines, peace and adventure to offer and I'm tired of only hearing about those adventures online or on TV - I want to create my own adventure.

German's my native language - I'm for sure able to teach it to others. I've been learning English since I was 4 years old which is why I'm fluent in that language as well. I have already been a private tutor for some younger students from my ex-high school. I've had French in school for 4 years but I'm not even close to speaking it fluently but as I want to study politics later in life I need to learn French and try to speak and understand it more. I'd appreciate it if someone could teach me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up at a farm with lots of animals like cows, goats, pigs, a dog, cats, chicken, ducks, etc. which is why I'm naturally good at working with animals, taking care of them, cleaning their spaces and so on.
Because of that I'm also quite familiar with farming and gardening activites.
Furthermore I already worked as a babysitter, petsitter, barista, server at a hotel which also has a bar and a café (= I had to do bartending as well as working at the reception sometimes) and cashier at a discounter.
I do have a bit of work experience in different fields but I tend to do jobs where I have to socialize as this is my favourite thing to do as a social butterfly.
I'm an active person who likes to keep fit as well - hiking, going for runs, riding a bicycle and climbing are some of the hobbies I do for fun.
