Hey there
My name is Marie - nice to meet you!

My background:
I was born and am currently living in Munich, Germany. I am working as a lawyer (focus on employment law) but currently I am doing a sabbatical for at least a couple of months. I am interested in arts (studied art history as well) and I love being outside.

I love to meet new people and learn new skills. I am hard working and very reliable, trustworthy and accountable. Everything I do, I do it with my full heart and try to give all I've got :)
I get along with almost everyone since I am very open-minded and respectful and enjoy if the people around me have a similar mentality. I appreciate a good company but I am able and enjoy being by myself.

I was born into a quite big family - I have three siblings and they all have kids aged 5 to 16). I love children and am happy to help with babysitting or helping with any tasks that come up regarding taking care of kids.

I also have a lot of experience with animals: I have been horseriding since I was a baby and I still own a small horse (he is 27 years old and I've had him since he was 4). My family also had cats, mice and birds when I was little so I'm used to taking care of animals and know my way around them.
I really love and respect animals which is why I don't eat meat or other animal products - but don't worry, I'm not going to lecture you if you have a different way of living/eating (as long as you don't lecture me about mine ;-)).

I am looking forward to some great experiences on workaway and be part of this amazing community!

It has been a truly wonderful experience having Marie as part of our family. From the very first day, she was kind, friendly, and eager to help with anything we needed. She is responsible, well-organized, and takes great initiative, which made it very easy and natural for her to fit into our family life.

The children adored her from the start.… read more She connected with them in a very special way, giving them her time, attention, and affection. She genuinely enjoys spending time with kids — playing, suggesting activities, and joining in their daily routines — which created a joyful and positive atmosphere in our home.

Marie is also a very clean and tidy person, always keeping everything in order and showing great respect for our home. She is independent and confident, but at the same time very considerate and cooperative, which made living together smooth and pleasant at all times.

One thing that touched us especially is how much she loves animals. With our cat Mincha she was affectionate and attentive, and whenever we met other animals along the way, she would instantly brighten up. You can clearly feel her passion when she talks about her horses — it’s a genuine love that shines through in her words and her eyes.

Her positive attitude and energy have truly been a gift for all of us. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, trustworthy person with a great ability to adapt and bring happiness wherever she goes. She would be wonderful not only in any Workaway with children, but equally in a Workaway with animals, or even in roles involving people and customer service — she has the qualities to do it all.

Ha sido una experiencia verdaderamente maravillosa tener a Marie como parte de nuestra familia. Desde el primer día fue amable, cercana y siempre dispuesta a ayudar en todo lo que necesitábamos. Es responsable, organizada y tiene mucha iniciativa, lo que hizo que encajara en nuestra vida familiar de manera fácil y natural.

Los niños la adoraron desde el principio. Conectó con ellos de una forma muy especial, dándoles su tiempo, atención y cariño. Se nota que realmente disfruta estando con los niños: jugar, proponer actividades y acompañarlos en las rutinas diarias se convirtió en algo alegre y positivo para todos.

Además, Marie es una persona muy limpia y ordenada, siempre cuida de la casa y respeta cada detalle del hogar. Es independiente y segura de sí misma, pero al mismo tiempo considerada y colaboradora, lo que hizo que la convivencia fuera fluida y agradable en todo momento.

Algo que nos impresionó especialmente es cuánto le gustan los animales. Con nuestra gatita Mincha fue muy cariñosa y atenta, y cada vez que nos encontrábamos con otros animales se le iluminaba la cara. Cuando habla de sus caballos transmite una pasión y un cariño auténticos que se reflejan en sus ojos.

Su actitud positiva y su energía han sido un verdadero regalo para nosotros. La recomendamos de todo corazón a cualquier familia que busque una persona cariñosa, de confianza y con una gran capacidad de adaptación. No tengo ninguna duda de que encajaría perfectamente en un Workaway con niños, pero también en un Workaway con animales, o en cualquier otro tipo de experiencia, incluso de trato con el público. Marie se adapta a todo.

Having Marie around has been an absolute blessing. She is such a warm and genuine person, and right from the beginning she made everyone feel at ease. She has a natural talent for connecting with children — they were drawn to her kindness, creativity, and patience. She truly enjoys being with them, playing games, inventing activities, and… read more sharing quality time.

She is also very responsible and independent, which gave us peace of mind at all times. At the same time, she was thoughtful and respectful, always keeping the house clean and tidy, and showing a great sense of organization. This balance between being reliable, independent, and caring made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable for all of us.

Marie also has a remarkable connection with animals. She treated our dog Linda and our cat Kira with such tenderness, and even with the little birds she showed a sweet curiosity. What really stands out is the sparkle in her eyes whenever she talks about horses or any animal — it’s obvious that caring for them comes naturally to her.

What stands out most is her big heart and her willingness to give her best every day. She adapted effortlessly to our routines, always with a smile and with genuine joy in what she was doing. She is a person you can truly trust, and we feel lucky to have met her. I am convinced she would shine not only in Workaway projects with children, but also in those involving animals, or in any other role where dedication, kindness, and adaptability are valued.

Tener a Marie con nosotros ha sido una auténtica bendición. Es una persona cálida y auténtica que, desde el primer momento, hizo que todos nos sintiéramos a gusto. Tiene un talento natural para conectar con los niños — ellos se sintieron atraídos por su amabilidad, creatividad y paciencia. Lo más bonito es que se nota que disfruta de verdad estando con ellos: jugar, inventar actividades y compartir tiempo de calidad eran cosas que hacía con entusiasmo.

Es también muy responsable e independiente, lo que nos dio mucha tranquilidad en todo momento. Al mismo tiempo fue respetuosa y atenta, siempre manteniendo la casa limpia y ordenada, con un gran sentido de organización. Ese equilibrio entre ser confiable, independiente y a la vez cercana y cariñosa hizo que la experiencia fuera fácil y muy agradable para todos.

Marie también tiene una conexión especial con los animales. Con nuestra perrita Linda y con nuestra gata Kira fue muy dulce, y hasta con los pajaritos mostraba una ternura espontánea. Lo que más sorprende es el brillo en sus ojos cuando habla de los caballos o de cualquier animal: se nota que ese cariño y esa sensibilidad le salen del corazón.

Lo que más destaca en ella es su gran corazón y sus ganas de dar lo mejor cada día. Se adaptó sin esfuerzo a nuestras rutinas, siempre con una sonrisa y con alegría genuina en todo lo que hacía. Es una persona en la que se puede confiar plenamente, y nos sentimos muy afortunados de haberla conocido. Estoy segura de que destacaría no solo en un Workaway con niños, sino también en un Workaway con animales, o en cualquier otro tipo de proyecto. Su entrega, amabilidad y capacidad de adaptación la hacen especial.
