I believe that the core of our existence is to explore and expand our horizons. Our time is absolutely priceless so to be able to spend it traveling and meeting amazing people around the world is what I would love to do for even a small period of my life. I keep a positive and optimistic outlook. I view challenges as something to learn from that will help me grow. I am out going, adventurous, hard working, and open minded to all cultures and walks of life. I believe my parents taught me to be kind and grateful. I love music, eating and cooking food, riding bicycles, and building/creating things with my hands. I was raised on the south side of Chicago. I spent a majority of my childhood there and eventually moved to a smaller town with a river and many trails to explore. I have lived in California and Florida for extended periods of time. I have spent lots of time in Mexico as my parents are from there and have built a home there. I am fascinated by mountains and country side. I love the idea of learning about farming and gardening. I plan to spend the next year or two traveling. Along the way, I hope to make life long friends and relationships with people that I will never forget while also picking up new skills. Some skills I am interested include, but are not limited to: woodworking, learning about stained glass, farming, fishing, gardening, or maybe even learning to play an instrument . I have never participated in workaway, but I am excited to start. I can speak fluent English and Spanish and am ready to see what workaway has to offer.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have renovated multiple homes and because of this I have some experiences with: painting, flooring, tiling, concrete, and carpentry. I do not by any means claim to be an expert or say that I do these things at a professional level. I believe I have an understanding of these skills with plenty of room to learn and improve. I have worked in construction, sales, restaurants, building maintenance, and landscaping. I can do basic yard work and upkeep. I am comfortable with computers and most technology available to me. I am efficient in microsoft programs and can manage my way through most other computer programs. Aside from working skills, I love to plan parties and events. I am often the group planner when it comes to taking trips with my friends or I am the tour guide when family and friends come to visit Chicago. I am also fluent in English and Spanish. I can understand very small amounts of other languages that are derivatives of Latin(French, Italian, Portuguese, etc.)

I am incredibly competitive. I love sports and games. I will play any sport I can. I love to stay active and exercise the body and mind. Board games are a wonderful way to pass the time. I have taught my brother and other friends how to play chess as well as a few other card games I know. My hobbies at home include kayaking on the river, bicycling through town or any trail I can find. Playing sports like basketball, baseball, football, and tennis.
