Ciao a tutti!

I'm Helena, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Economics here in Italy.
I reside in a vibrant university-residence surrounded by diverse international individuals that have inspired me to embrace new experiences wholeheartedly.
The spirit of sharing has been solidified during my university years, but it was already inherent in me due to my large family, where sharing is a way of life.

My passion for exploration drives me to travel extensively, immersing myself in different cultures, cuisines, and forging new connections along the way.
Over the years, I've traversed Europe, accompanied by both family and friends, as well as embarked on solo journeys. These solo adventures have been particularly enriching, enabling me to delve deeper into self-discovery and embrace the spontaneity of life.

Nature beckons me, and I find solace in activities like trekking, basking in the warmth of the sun amidst breathtaking landscapes. Additionally, I thrive on the adrenaline rush of sports, having indulged in activities like bungee jumping, parachuting, and attempting to conquer the waves with a surfboard (though admittedly, with mixed results). Paddleboarding also holds a special place in my heart.

Recently, I've delved into the practices of yoga and meditation, discovering their transformative power. I'm eager to further incorporate these practices into my life.

My decision to join Workaway stems from a desire to challenge myself and immerse in new experiences. I seek to foster genuine connections and glean as much wisdom as possible from this endeavor. Here's to embracing the unknown and cultivating pure friendships along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I love challenge myself. Whether it's taking on new tasks or diving into unfamiliar situations, I thrive on pushing my limits and learning from the experience.

Organization and orderliness are also part of me. I find that having a structured approach helps me stay focused and efficient, whether it's tackling a project or simply keeping things tidy.

One thing that sets me apart is adaptability. Thanks to my experiences travelling and staying in hostels and campgrounds, I've developed a knack for rolling with the punches and making the best of any situation. I'm pretty flexible and can easily adjust to different environments and routines.

Sharing and respecting others' spaces is also important for me. Growing up in a big family and later working helped me to learn the importance of cooperation and consideration. Whether it's divvying up chores or collaborating on a project, I'm all about finding common ground and making sure everyone feels heard and valued.

Lastly, my time working as both a waitress and an employee has honed my problem-solving skills. Whether it's dealing with a tricky customer or finding errors in financial records, I've developed a knack for thinking on my feet and finding creative solutions to challenges.

I'm a fan of board games. Whether it's the strategy and intellect required for chess or the excitement of building an empire in Monopoly, I find them both incredibly engaging.

Beyond board games, I'm an avid reader. My interests span from feminist literature to political discourse, but I also enjoy diving into topics like yoga and meditation for some inner peace and reflection.

Music and dance are also passions of mine. There's something about moving to the rhythm of a good beat that just fills me with joy. I like both old italian music, rap, trap, reggae and reggeaton.

Recently, I've discovered a newfound love for painting. It's become my go-to hobby during my downtime, allowing me to express myself artistically and tap into a side of me I never knew existed.

Through books and classes, I have delved deeply into the realms of yoga, Pilates, and meditation, discovering a profound interest and passion for these practices. In my quest for a new way of living, I am drawn to the spiritual and zen mindset, seeking to embrace the present moment fully.
