Hello! My name is Filip, I’m from the Czech Republic and currently exploring the world on my own for the first time. I’m an easygoing, friendly and open-minded person who enjoys meeting new people, learning new things and discovering different cultures.

Back home, I often help my family with gardening and other outdoor tasks — I find manual work relaxing, a good way to clear my mind. I also really like animals and spending time in nature. One of my hobbies is photography (just for fun), and I’m also interested in music and festivals — for three years, I volunteered at Budějovický Majáles, a week-long cultural event in my hometown.

I’ve always been curious about Japan and Asia in general, which started with my love for anime and manga, and grew even stronger after visiting Thailand this year. That’s why I joined Workaway — to not only help out, but to learn, explore, and connect with people.

I’d describe myself as outgoing and talkative once I feel comfortable, but also thoughtful and kind. People often say I bring a good vibe, and I really value creating a positive atmosphere around me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Last three years I was in a team which was making week-long festival every May (I was in charge of finance). I'm used to communicating and working with other people. I like housekeeping chores as cleaning and so on. I often help my parents on the garden I've been living alone for the last year so I'm used to cooking and would love to learn foreign cuisines as well.
