  Description

  We are a young colombian/german couple with a eight year old son. We decided to built up two lives in two different countries and thats why we have taken on a finca set up on a beautiful hillside outside of San Gil (5km distance, direction Mogotes, frequent public transportation during the day). The property has a big garden and counts with homegrown fruit all year.
  Also there is a colombian family with four wonderful kids living in the old farmhouse at the property.
  
  We have big plans for the place, including a permaculture garden, natural pool, treeheouse and guesthouse cabins... We need enthusiastic people to come and help! Volunteers that have prior knowledge/skills in building and gardening or permaculture would be perfect, but anyone willing to work is more than welcome!
  
  We are very laid back and also enjoy the surrounding areas as much as the guests, so it's definitely not all about work. We love to get up early, work in the morning and chill out in the afternoon or go to enjoy closeby riversides. We are also well connected with the local spiritual community. It is important to us that volunteers coming here fall in love with this area just as much as we do (every day).

  Aide

  Because we recently bought our own property counting with an old farm house, lots of fruit trees and beautiful views we are working right now a lot in construction and planting or gardening. Right now we are working on building cabins, an outside shower and a Yoga platform.
  
  We are also looking for an expert on website creating to develop our Internet presence.
  
  We are offering a place to stay (comfortable bed at the second floor from the new big cabin or in a tent and small shared bathroom and dry toilet) in exchange for 3 hours of help a day.

  Hébergement

  We have a room for a dorm with a double bed and a single bed or comftable matraces Ina tent for the volunteers. The bathroom is shared. We have normal bathrooms and a eco friendly dry toilet. Also there is a big shared kitchen and a beautiful terrain with a small yoga platform.

  On your time off there is a lot to do in the local area. San Gil itself and the surrounding villages are gorgeous, and it is enjoyable just spending time walking around getting to know the locals. It is also the adventure capital, and so there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed, such as kayaking, climbing, hiking, paragliding, horseback riding. One of the hosts is also a mountainbike guide and caving/canyoning guide, so he appreciates taking the guests on expeditions!
  The finca is 5 km out of town and there is access to beautiful walks and viewpoints.
  
  Esta es una buena oportunidad para disfrutar y ayudar a terminar de construir un proyecto de hostel y workaway place. La idea es establecer un lugar para siempre, tener y obtener ayuda de los voluntarios con un trabajo de mutuo beneficio entre el voluntario y el lugar. Es mantener el espacio siempre disponible para que las persona viajeras tengan un hogar en San Gil.
