I am a ceramic artist/potter that wants to see more of what the the world has to offer. I love being in nature, near the water, mountains, beach etc. I love working with my hands and being immursed in creative environments!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have considered myself an artist since about 15 years old. I have some background knowledge about many different types/skills of art. i would consider myself as a visual artist, with a degree in fine craft ceramics. Some of my artistic skills include:
ceramics:
-throwing on the wheel (including large and complex forms)
-handbuilding projects
-designing and creating a line of work
-ceramic science and glaze chemistry
-some knowledge about natural materials; processing and harvesting clay
-decorating techniques; sgrafitto, decals, relief design, transfers etc.
other:
-painting
-life-drawing
-colour theory
-crafts/projects
I also have skills to load and fire kilns. mainly electric, but can fire raku and gas as well.
I am clean, organized, have great time management skills and great work ethic.
I enjoy being in the outdoors and am willing and wanting to learn more about yard work, gardening and agriculture.
I have taught some ceramics handbuilding camps, and an introduction to the potters wheel to groups of up to 16 children aged 7-13.
I have also worked as a customer service assistant/supervisor at a pharmacy for 3 years.
other skills i have would include:
-a love for cooking, and some baking
-good multitasker
-quick learner
-pet sitting (cats and trained dogs, other small animals)
-can speak/understand basic French

I love to play board games and card games. I love to dance for fun, i'm into reading mystery/murder mystery books, going on walks/hikes in nature. I love being near the water, learning new outdoors activites/skills. roller skating and biking. I like going to farmers markets and also thrift shopping. and any crafts or projects, i'm interested in.
