Hi! This is Dom from Hong Kong! I have always wanted to explore the world with my own eyes, there have been a lot of amazing stories out there, but experiencing by yourself is just different. I am a recent university graduate and is jobless now... so I am not waiting for the opportunity to come! Action is key! Now I am having a few months in Eurasia to meet new people, experience different cultures, and create great connections and friendships with people from around the world.

I am a curious, adventurous and open-minded person. I love to have meaningful conversations and get to know people, no matter is about life, philosophy, or anything you feel interested, anyting will make it happen to create a great bonding together! Wish to connect with much more people in the world! That's why I was on couchsurfing and bewelcome to meet more people.

In my free time, I love listening to music, doing photography and making vlogs about daily life, which makes me want to become a digital nomad in the future by sharing my experiences. Apart these that would bring happiness to me, just hanging around with people and talking to them already brings me joy when we share the stories, and maybe even the vulnerable side of us.

I have always been the guy who keep exploring everything, sometimes spontaneously making decision and get the most experience out of the journey. When I was in university having a semester exchange in London, I spent 5 months to travel to 30 countries just to learn about the culture and meet people. This journey will never stops, and I dream to meet people from all the countries in the world and create connections.

After those travel, I realised that the time constraints made me unable to create further connections with people. Therefore with the time allows, now I want to try out even longer experience by staying in one place longer, so I can deeply connect to the nature, to the people and experience the life of a local, which is why I am on this site, to do something meaningful and see a different perspective of the world. I have been doing different volunteering programs before in Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Cambodia to teach english and help the underprivileged. Those time were some of the highlights of my life, to see the people I helped giving a smile back to me, and it's the best gift of the whole journey.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In university I studied communication and advertising, which I learnt how to manage social media, video editing and photography. I was always a committee member of some student society, and took a gap year to be a director and lead 300 students in Hong Kong. I have learnt how to plan strategically, do sales, financial planning and event management.

My native language is Cantonese, while I speak fluent English and Mandarin, and learning spanish (beginner level).

In my previous volunteering in SouthEast Asia, I taught children English, as well as building infrastructure in their place like building a library in their school, and did some farming as well. Although I am not the best and most knowledgable in it, I am willing to try and learn.

I can also cook, usually don't follow much the recipe but it turns out amazing.
