Hi there!

I am Diana, a 30-year-old Italian woman currently living in Turin, in the north of Italy. I am studying Primary Education and working as a teacher in primary schools, a path that I chose after several years of experience in the educational and social sector.

In the past, I worked as an educator both with children and with adults facing social and economic difficulties. Over time, I discovered that working with children is what I enjoy the most, and this led me to focus my studies and professional life on education.

I am a cheerful, friendly and open-minded person who genuinely enjoys meeting new people and learning from different perspectives. I have always been interested in social issues, inequalities, and community-based projects that bring people together and create meaningful connections. I would describe myself as someone who enjoys being part of a community and contributing to a positive and welcoming environment.

I love books, movies and music, and I enjoy discovering new artists and cultures. When I have free time, I like walking, hiking, swimming and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy conversations about society, education, politics and everyday life.

Travel has always been an important part of my life. When I was younger, I spent time abroad through cultural exchanges, including living with a Belgian family during high school. I also completed Workaway experiences in France and Portugal, which gave me the opportunity to connect with local communities and experience everyday life from a different perspective.

Over the years, I have travelled extensively as a backpacker, mainly around Europe, but also in Southeast Asia, including Thailand and Laos, and in North Africa, particularly Morocco. These experiences taught me how to adapt to different environments, communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, and appreciate different ways of living.

In the last five years, I have mostly taken shorter trips in Italy and nearby European countries while focusing on my studies and professional life. Recently, however, I have felt a strong desire to start exploring again, especially beyond the places I already know.

One of the reasons I am returning to Workaway after a long time is that I believe travelling is much more meaningful when it allows you to connect with local people, share experiences and become part of everyday life in a community. I am excited about the possibility of learning from others, contributing where I can, and creating genuine human connections along the way.

I have experience in teaching, education, group activities and working with people from different backgrounds. I speak Italian, English, French and a little bit of Romanian, I am adaptable, responsible and flexible, and I am always willing to learn new skills and help wherever needed.

I look forward to meeting new people, discovering different ways of living, sharing experiences, and contributing to inspiring projects and communities around the world!!
