Hi! My name is Dean, I am 28 years old and was raised in Michigan, USA. I love adventuring and exploring the outdoors, trying new food, and connecting with others. I've worked a variety of jobs from farm hand to accountant to research assistant.

I enjoy slow and intentional travel, challenges, adventure, time spent in nature and the opportunity to see perspectives from other cultures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a certified yoga teacher (200hrs). I am a photographer and have good equipment that I am travelling with. I have experience working on a couple farms, gardening, planting trees, trail building, cutting grass, harvesting sugarcane, etc. I built out a camper van, which helped me learn skills in woodworking, plumbing, insulation, electrical, sewing, as well as some basic mechanical work on the vehicle itself (filter, clockspring, door locks, serpentine belt, alternator, brakes, oil). I am happy with outdoor work, don't mind heavy lifting or walking long distances. I speak fluent english and intermediate spanish. I also love to cook and can help in the kitchen or cook independently if needed. I love to work in gardens, but currently am by no means an expert and would need direction. I have made honey wine as well as cultivated mushrooms, but again am not an expert in either subject. I love dancing salsa and bachata. I am an experienced climber and backpacker but am not a certified guide. I can assist with digital/computer tasks such as scheduling, social media, writing, etc. I am comfortable with and love dogs/cats as well as kids. I lived in and hosted an Airbnb vacation rental for about 6 months, welcoming guests to the house, taking care of all cleaning and any questions that guests had during their stay. I have been working as a research assistant in the department of psychology and neuroscience for about 4 years.
