Description

Hi! My name is Inès.

I was born and raised in Paris, France, and have lived in Canada for the past eight years. My background is in specialty coffee. I’ve worked as a barista, managed cafés, and trained others in the craft. I love this line of work because it allows me to connect with people in a meaningful way.

After spending my entire life in cities, I felt the pull toward something different, something quieter, more grounded, and connected to nature. I didn’t want to be indoors all day, doing work that didn’t fuel me. I wanted to explore self-sufficiency, growing food, building homes, and living a life rooted in purpose and simplicity.

A few years ago, I sold everything I owned, bought a car, and road tripped across Canada and the USA. Eventually, I returned to Europe and spent time in Greece and Albania, where I felt truly at peace, surrounded by nature and like-minded people who shared a similar vision of life. I was traveling with my partner at the time, and now I’m stepping into a solo journey. I’m excited to meet new people, share knowledge, and keep learning from others along the way.

These days, I aim to balance my year between working and volunteering. I spending half the year earning and the other half exploring, learning, and contributing to beautiful projects. During my travels, I’ve worked on homesteads and in guesthouses, and there’s still so much more I hope to experience.

In my free time, I indulge in the pleasures of life! You can find me reading in the sun, doing sudoku puzzles, working on a sewing project, exploring nearby nature and hiking trails, and always searching for a beautiful body of water to swim in (hot springs are a personal favourite). I also LOVE FOOD! Let’s cook together and share our favourite meals.

I’m especially interested in learning more about food growing (harvesting and preserving in particular), animal care (milking, herding…), permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and natural building techniques like carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
Ultimately I just want to meet people and share wonderful moments together!

My dream is to build my own house one day.
I’m hardworking and I learn fast! I am a great listener and I take action! Let’s collaborate :)

I speak French and English fluently! I have taught both languages as a tutor over the years. I am currently working on improving my Spanish (which I learnt in school) and casually learning Polish and Portuguese. I am always interested in learning new languages!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Through my volunteer experiences, I’ve helped with gardening (planting, seeding, and weeding), as well as restoring furniture, painting, deep cleaning, and organizing spaces, some contributions to cob house builds.

Professionally, I’ve worked in teaching, business management, marketing, social media, and videography. I’ve also worked in childcare, tutoring, and financial planning, and I have a knack for organizing and maintaining clean, welcoming environments.

Personally, I love languages and conversation. I speak both French and English fluently and love teaching them to others.
I have a strong work ethic and a deep love for learning. I focus easily, enjoy diving into tasks, and thrive both independently and in team settings. I’m here to grow, share, and contribute. Let’s work together!
