Hello! My name is Charlie, I'm a 26 year old Australian with a deep appreciation for the natural world, a fascination with ecological systems and the effects we (humans!) have on their functioning. I have a background in permaculture, horticulture and landscape design but most recently held an post-graduate academic position at a university focused on plant ecology.

I'm currently travelling around Morocco/Europe with the hope of increasing my understanding of global systems of organic food production, sharing my expertise and experiencing new cultures all the same!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I hold in Bachelors degree with first class honors in Conservation Biology with a specific focus on plant ecology. Prior to my tertiary education I worked in a vast array of plant-based jobs and have extensive skills in ornamental and food production horticulture (i.e. pruning, planting, propagation, seasonal crop rotation, composting). I am also experienced in garden design and construction and particularly enjoy creating permaculture-informed, ecologically-sound spaces where the longevity and benefit of all organisms is salient.

I'm also pretty handy on the tools and can perform basic carpentry and home maintenance tasks (i.e. painting, building raised garden beds).

While sometimes I feel like my entire life revolves around the garden, I'm very passionate about my surfing (20+ years of experience), science-fiction literature and environmental justice.

I'm a very laid-back, respectful guy with a strong work ethic and an unwavering love of meeting new people, exchanging knowledge and sharing stories.
