Description
Hi! I'm Nick, one half of the couple on this profile - I'm currently using this profile alone (my partner is in the UK). Apologies for the confusion!

I'm British Cyrptiot and was born and raised in the UK, but right now I am spending a few months in Cyprus to reconnect with my roots, get to know the island better and improve my Greek Cypriot language.

I am hardworking and have had a wide range of jobs in my lifetime, such as educating kids in and out of schools, managing a hostel, working as a climbing and kayaking guide, working as a support worker for kids in care, and working on construction sites. I also do a bit of gardening and wood work for fun. So I am generally pretty flexible and able to pick up whatever work needs doing!

I am friendly, easy going and optimistic. I am playful and love games (all types!)
I also care deeply about the world and the people in it, and have strong values when it comes to social justice and equality, so would love to volunteer in projects that are aligned with these values.

We were fortunate to have Cat and Nic as volunteers. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude were infectious, especially when interacting with the children, which they did wonderfully.
They were always eager to help, and their integration into our community was seamless.

Mare was a wonderful workaway host! She accepted us at the last minute despite having lots going on in her life, and was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Her house is in a beautiful place with views of mountains and sea, and amazing stars at night.

It was great to have her as part of our team, she is always there to help with a big smile and fantastic attitude about everything. Our kids love their time with her. We miss her and wish her great things in her adventures. We hope to see her again one day. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and loved it! The work is very easy, the hostel is nice with a big kitchen, and I had a lot of fun with the other volunteers going out salsa dancing most nights and cooking food together. It was a really nice atmosphere!

This place was awesome! A beautiful spot right on the beach, an amazing group of travellers and locals which gave it a nice social atmosphere, the cutest puppies and kittens and very cheap diving. Perfect! Thad is doing a great thing teaching the locals how to dive, and the kids have so much fun doing it. Thanks for letting me stay Thad :)
