26 from Scotland.
Travelling round New Zealand for a year, from February. Starting in the South Island and then going north.
Peaceful individual, enjoy quiet time. Pretty generally curious, always keen to gain new insights. Enjoy getting to know people and sharing interesting conversations.
Love nature, reading, hikes and working with my hands.
I've worked as a ranger in the Highlands of Scotland for the last 2 years, and I’m keen to see how native restoration practices compare in NZ. Also keen to use and expand my skillset in practical land management.
Interested in alternative ways of living, particularly independent and sustainable lifestyles.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I’ve worked in caravan parks and have several years landscaping experience. I’ve also got a few years of experience working as a ranger.
I’m pretty comfortable with hand tools and power tools from this.
Skills gained:
- Hard landscaping (building paths, driveways, porches, ponds, small extensions)
- Installation of drainage and plumbing systems, helped with installation of electrical systems
- Woodworking (building decks, fences, sheds)
- Installation and painting of signposts
- Operating heavy machinery (diggers, steamrollers, lawn mowers)
- Animal care
I’m pretty decent with computers, so can probably lend a hand with that as well if need be.

I have a lot of love for martial arts, particularly thai boxing and brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Really enjoy playing board and card games, sudoku and chess are go-tos as well.
Always looking to add recipes to my collection, cooking together is a great way to bond
