Hi!

We're an adventurous, friendly couple in our mid-20s, currently looking for a new adventure in Canada :) We’re both exchange students at Polytechnique Montréal, completing the first part of our master’s degrees in civil engineering, and we’d love to extend our stay through a Workaway experience!

Both of us love the outdoors, as we have grown up skiing, biking and hiking. This past summer we spent working closely together in northern Sweden, at Kebnekaise mountain station, far away from any roads or civilisation. It was our greatest luck to have the mountains and rivers as our backyard! With a small staff we made the whole place go around and built strong connections in just a few months. Our main tasks were cleaning, but we also assisted wherever needed — from maintenance work to serving breakfast in the restaurant.

We’re open to all kinds of tasks — from gardening and farm work to taking care of children and helping around the house, caring for animals, or doing small repairs. We are adaptable, easy-going and eager to learn.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have backgrounds in sustainable development from our bachelor's.

Cajsa:
- Hospitality/tourism experience from both Kebnekaise mountain station and as a volunteer at a surfcamp in Portugal.

- Experience working with children, both as a step-in teacher at kindergarten, and as a personal assistant for children with disabilities.

- Sustainability coordinator at Husqvarna, developing different tools in order for them to reduce their environmental impact.

- Quick learner and deeply invested in any tasks I have at hand.

Jonatan:
- Hospitality/tourism and maintenance experience from several summers and some winters at Kebnekaise mountain station. This summer, I was head of the cleaning department, taking care of administration and managing the team.

- Taking care and playing with children, no official experience, but I think I have a childlike spirit and love taking care of children in my family or among friends :)

- Organised and responsible after a year of primary military training as a recon soldier, I was also appointed as the company's comrade of the year.

- Interested in DIY, building and fixing things, and would love to learn more about it.
