I'm Aubrey, I'm from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I have been living in the Alberni Valley for the past year working in conservation and monitoring with the local First Nation's Fisheries & Wildlife. I am hoping to find workways along my journey to Whitehorse this summer. I am attending Yukon University this fall to get a degree in conservation science. Before living on the Island I spent 6 months travelling around the south of Chile doing workaways, mostly farm work and ranches. I loved my experiences and wanted to take this opportunity to experience more of B.C and the Yukon. I would descirbe myself as easy-going and friendly, I enjoy creating and building community with people. I look forward to immersing myself in the culture of everwhere i go. Theres no place im happier than out in the bush, living with the land.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I graduated from College as a furniture maker and currently work as a boat builder in Victoria, British Columbia. I am experienced with hand tools and have done small scale construction projects and farm work here and there. During the last couple of years, i worked in the service industry, mostly in bars and restaurants. i am very social and try to be a welcoming individual- an attribute that enriched in my 20s backpacking around Europe and southeast Asia; where i worked in hostels or as a nanny for keep.

i love meeting people and learning about their world. I look forward to surfing, swimming, hiking and cycling. i am quite active and am pretty much up for any adventure. I am excited to see what new and exciting things are around the corner.
