Hi all! We're Ashleigh and Benoit. We are a French/English couple who enjoy the simpler things in life. We have been travelling around for the last 10 years with working and living in different locations in between. One of our favourite things to do when in a new place is first find a local coffee shop, get completely lost down hidden streets and sample some food!
We love to learn the true culture of a place, learn the language (we try!) and partake in a more responsible side of travel. We enjoy adventure, a wine or two (but are not party animals), we love swapping stories with fellow travellers and socialising but we also appreciate our downtime and can get lost in a book for hours.

We joined Workaway as we want to connect with other people that we wouldn't meet in normal day to day travel, do something different but also to help others. We feel that we have gained so much for ourselves from travel that it is our turn to give something back.
We would also really like to improve our Thai during our time here.

A bit about us:

Benoit is a Freediving Instructor who loves outdoor sports such as running, snowboarding, rollerblading, and hiking. He enjoys yoga, meditation, pranayama and reading a wide array of subjects. He speaks French, English and intermediate Spanish. He's a keen learner, likes to work with his hands and has enjoyed working in various sectors around the world.

Ash: A keen writer, organiser and more on the softer side of sports: badminton, swimming, pilates and walking (recently did Camino de Santiago)! Enjoys qi gong, meditation and also loves to read. I also really enjoy cooking and creating new dishes with a passion for vegetarian cooking.
