Hello, this is Jacqueline. First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to read our information. Please read fully.
We invite you to join us (me and Alwart) on our permaculture farm in the jungle in Nayarit, Mexico.
At our project we have hens for egg production, we have more that 30 varieties of fruit trees (some of them are still growing...few years will go until the start fruiting) all arranged in a food forest design, this 2022 we are planting another section following syntropic agriculture principles.
We look for people with energy to work and the will to learn. We also require people who can live in community and clean after themselves. And most important that can commit and that are reliable on the tasks that will be given.
What we do is not light work so it requires real desire to learn by helping.
You will be asked to help 25 hours per week.

We just finished our restaurant and currently getting it ready for it's opening. A syntropic system is being stablished during the rainy season.
Two ferrocement cisterns will be built in August. They will be receiving the rain collected from the house and the overflow of our existing ponds.
Daily work involves working with pruning plants, lots of watering (during dry season), compost making and compost turning, feeding chickens and collecting their eggs. Seasonal harvest of fruits and it's processing.
When possible we do plant division for the nursery and a lot of seeds planting.

Jacqueline volunteers at the local kid's center with a communal garden. Volunteers are welcome to join and invited to interact with the local kids.
Summers are hot and humid. We do a big transplantation right before the rainy season and what we have to do is mainly taking care of the newly planted trees and make sure they don't get covered by weeds.
Taking care of the chickens is a main task as well as they require attention in the morning and in the afternoon.
Summer is also when we do most of our compost and we will be doing a lot of soil regeneration with the green biomass.
Between the normal work we will be also doing some work finishing our future earthship inspired restaurant and nursery.
